About Beyond Translation

Hi, I’m Natasha!

Welcome to Beyond Translation!

I’m a marketing student, fluent French speaker, part-time French teacher, and someone who’s endlessly curious about the world around me.

I’ve always found it fascinating how two people can look at the exact same situation and interpret it completely differently. Sometimes it’s because of language, sometimes it’s culture, and sometimes it’s simply the way we’ve been taught to see the world.

And that’s what inspired Beyond Translation.

Why I Started This Blog

I’ve learned that knowing the words of a language doesn’t necessarily mean understanding the people who speak it.

A phrase that sounds perfectly normal in English might be hilarious in French. A marketing campaign that’s successful in one country might completely miss the mark somewhere else.

Those little differences are what interest me most.

I wanted to create a space where I could explore language, culture, communication, and even a little marketing, without making it feel like another textbook.

What You’ll Find Here

Expect interesting cultural discoveries, funny translation mistakes, surprising expressions, stories about the way people communicate, and the occasional look at how global brands connect with different audiences.

Some posts will teach you something useful. Others might make you laugh. Hopefully, a few will make you question something you’ve always taken for granted.

That’s the fun of it.

So whether you’re learning a new language, interested in exploring different cultures, or just someone who likes discovering unexpected things about the world, I’m glad you’re here.

Explore. Learn. Belong.

Let’s Connect!

Have a question, a funny translation mistake, or an interesting cultural discovery to share? I’d love to hear from you!
